Iroko wood
Iroko is a dense hardwood with natural oils. Left untreated outdoors, it gradually weathers to a soft silver-grey — this is natural and does not affect its strength. To keep the warm honey tone, clean and apply a hardwood oil once or twice a season.
- Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush; rinse and let dry.
- Avoid pressure washers, which can raise the grain.
- Fine hairline checks can appear as wood moves with humidity — they are normal.
Aluminum frames
Aluminum does not rust. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners.
Cushions
Cushions are covered in UV-resistant, water-repellent outdoor fabric over high-density foam. Wipe spills promptly with a damp cloth, and store cushions dry or under a cover during long rainy spells.
Hand-woven rope
Brush off dirt and rinse with fresh water. Let it dry fully before covering.
Winter in Canada
Before the first snow, clean and dry your furniture and store it in a garage or shed, or use breathable covers. Store cushions indoors.
